Changes to Title IX

On Friday, Sept. 22, the United States Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) withdrew Obama-era guidance regarding campus sexual assault.

It also issued a Q&A on Campus Sexual Misconduct regarding schools’ responsibility to address sexual misconduct.

Later the same day, California State University (CSU) Chancellor Timothy White made the following statement on behalf of the 23 campuses in the CSU system:
