CHABSS Diversity Working Group Seeks Two Student Members for Fall 2016/ Spring 2017

The CHABSS Diversity Working Group (CDWG) seeks two student members to serve in fall 2016 and spring 2017, joining CHABSS faculty and staff to help fulfill the College's strategic goals to preserve, promote and improve diversity in our college and on our campus.

Student members must be available to attend CDWG meetings (dates and times to be determined). The committee plans to meet twice per month, and the time commitment for student members would be about 4-6 hours per month.

The CHABSS Diversity Working Group will develop a college-wide response to the CSUSM 2014 Diversity Mapping Report’s projections of needed next steps. The CDWG is charged with finding and implementing ways to promote diversity within CHABSS. These will include developing, implementing and promoting strategies to improve and sustain diversity in the classroom and the curriculum hire and retain diverse faculty, staff and administrators,strengthen existing collaborations across the CSUSM campus.
