Commencement Returns to CSUSM Campus: May 20-21, 2011

After ten years of holding graduation ceremonies offsite at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) announced today that the university will welcome commencement ceremonies back to the campus on May 20-21, 2011. Marking the 20th annual commencement of CSUSM graduates, the campus will host three ceremonies on its Olympic-class Mangrum Track and Field, accommodating more than 3,000 guests at each event."We look forward to inviting families and friends to campus for commencement this year," said CSUSM President Karen Haynes. "This is a terrific opportunity to showcase our growing and picturesque campus while building new traditions.  All of us look forward to celebrating with our students in May."The three ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 20 at 3:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 21 at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with each ceremony expected to last approximately 2.5 hours. Tickets will not be required for attendees, although graduates will need to confirm their guest count when registering online to participate in commencement. Guest seating will be first come, first serve. Complimentary parking will be available for guests in Lots B and C, courtesy of Parking and Commuter Services.
