Cougars and Families Unite for Homecoming Games

For the third annual Homecoming games and barbeque, Cal State San Marcos Cougars will welcome parents and their families to join in the campus tradition and celebration, as the University cheers on its soccer teams as they defend their undefeated homecoming title against Bethesda University on Saturday, Oct. 1. The family-friendly event, held on Mangrum Track and Field from noon to 4 p.m., will include children’s activities, a barbeque sponsored by Liberty Mutual and a special giveaway for Cougar parents.“We’re excited to welcome our entire Cougar family to participate in this annual tradition,” said Lori Brockett, director of alumni relations and annual giving. “Homecoming is a time to come together and unite as one campus as we celebrate our growing and thriving University.”Pre-game and between-game festivities will also be held, including the crowning of CSUSM's inaugural Homecoming King and Queen. Admission to the doubleheader game is free. The Liberty Mutual barbeque is $5 per person and free for current students, although RSVP is required.CSUSM’s Homecoming games culminates a week of spirited campus events focused on reconnecting and reuniting alumni, students and the entire campus community.
