CSUSM Culture: Working Together

October 3, 2016

CSUSM Culture: Working Together

In support of our Strategic Priority, Campus Climate and as a step toward responding to concerns raised in the Great Colleges to Work For Survey, we invite you to participate in upcoming conversations about advancing a collegial working environment.

The Campus Culture Work Group developed a draft document, Working Together, which aims to reflect CSUSM’s shared values of engagement, community, integrity, innovation and inclusiveness. This document will serve as a starting point for identifying norms for how we engage with one another. The Work Group will gather feedback through town halls and a website to give the entire campus community opportunities to provide input, which will be used in shaping the final document.

The document and online feedback form is available through the Great Colleges Website, and two town halls have been scheduled for the following dates:

  • Thursday, Oct. 13, 12 to 12:50 p.m., University Hall 100
  • Tuesday, Oct. 18, 12 to 12:50 p.m., Markstein Hall 104

As our campus continues to grow and evolve, it is vital to reflect and be mindful of our history, while continuing to look ahead. We thank you in advance for sharing in this process and providing your input.

Sincerely,

CSUSM Executive Council

Graham Oberem, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
