CSUSM Goes Green with Earth Day Celebrations

By Whitney Frasier

In honor of Earth Day, California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) will celebrate the importance of conservation and sustainability with a series of free events. The festivities kick off Tuesday, April 19.

“Earth Day is a time for collective recognition and action to protect and preserve the Earth’s natural resources,” said Juliana Goodlaw-Morris, sustainability manager at CSUSM. “Do something this week that helps our planet: walk or bike instead of driving, use reusable products instead of single-use throwaways, buy local food or get involved with organizations protecting the earth. No action is too small to ensure that today and future generations are able to live with clean air, water and healthy ecosystems.”

Events are hosted in partnership with Associated Students, Inc., the CSUSM Sustainability Club, Tukwut Life and the University Student Union Activities Board.
