CSUSM Theatre General Auditions, Nov. 14

CSUSM theatre is delighted to announce general auditions for our spring 2017 season. The plays include Home, directed by Dr. Judy Bauerlein, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Jason Heil. You do not have to be a theatre major to audition.

Home is an original theatre piece that explores the experience of being homeless in San Diego. Drawing upon the testimonies and stories of people who are, or have been homeless, the play gives voice to the homeless community in Escondido. The collaborative team includes CSUSM students and faculty, Interfaith Community Center in Escondido and Princeton Arts Fellow Aaron Landsman (playwright). Home opens in March.

Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies, and this production marks the first fully produced Shakespearean play at CSUSM! We are delighted that veteran actor and director Jason Heil will be at the helm! A Midsummer Night’s Dream opens in April.
