Do You or a Colleague Use Spanish in an Off-Campus Professional or Volunteer Role?

The Language Learning Center, Modern Language Studies Department and  Latin@ Center are collaborating on an exciting new project for Spanish minors.

The Spanish minor spans across CSUSM colleges. It is CSUSM’s second-largest minor, and most of these students plan to apply their language skills to a specific career. To that end, we are inviting Spanish-speaking professionals to present on how they use Spanish in their field so that students may gain insight into how their Spanish minor connects to their major.

Our target audience are students minoring in Spanish, although all students are welcome. Our targeted majors are CSUSM’s largest: business, psychology, kinesiology, human development, biology, criminology and justice studies, nursing/pre-health, computer science, communication, liberal studies, and sociology.

If this project appeals to you or an off-campus partner/colleague, please contact LLC Director Hilary Taylor at htaylor@csusm.edu or 760-750-4197. We are scheduling now for AY17-18!
