Frontiers in Science Series Resumes Feb. 17

Frontiers in Science, a popular science exploration series at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM), announces its spring schedule and invites the community to discover cutting-edge advancements in biology and physics.The six-session series, which kicks off on Feb. 17, features interdisciplinary science seminars from leading scientists in academia and private research. These seminars aim to introduce audiences from all disciplines to the intrigue and fun of scholarly pursuits in the natural and physical science disciplines. This semester's series will include a special talk by award-winning science fiction author and scientist Dr. David Brin on Thursday, April 7."The goal of Frontiers in Science is to expose and recognize the research that's been conducted in our community," said Dr. Michael J. Burin, professor of physics at CSUSM. "Our campus is the intellectual center of North County and it's exciting to see this science series grow not only in content, but also in community impact and involvement."Held in Science Hall 2, room 242, from noon to 1:00 p.m., the Frontiers in Science seminars are free, open to the public, and include light refreshments.
