Inspiring Donors to Give Big: CSUSM Partners with the San Diego Foundation

California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) is honored to be a part of the San Diego Foundation’s first-ever giveBig fundraising event. Beginning at 7 a.m. on Dec. 14, the public has an opportunity to make online donations to Cal State San Marcos and the Foundation will match the total amount of donations to CSUSM in a pro-rated amount.  The event ends at 7 p.m. on Dec. 15.“This is a perfect opportunity for people who value higher education and CSUSM’s impact on North County to make a year-end, tax-deductible gift that supports  the University and see some matching funds coming from the Foundation ,” said Associate Vice President for Development Bruce Genung.Donors choose their gift amount, with a minimum gift of $25.  The Foundation will match, on a pro-rated basis, the total of donations made during the 36-hour period. Only amounts between $25 and $10,000 will count toward the match. For any single gift above $10,000, only the first $10,000 will be considered for matching funds.Donations raised through the giveBig event help create opportunities and experiences that will foster student access and success at CSUSM.  To learn more or to make a donation, visit: http://www.givebigsandiego.org/
