Seeing Double: CSUSM to Celebrate Second Annual Homecoming with Double-Header Soccer Game and BBQCulminating the University's second annual Homecoming Week, CSUSM invites students, alumni, and community supporters to cheer on the women's and men's soccer teams as the Cougars battle Embry Riddle at Mangrum Track and Field on Saturday, October 23.Coinciding with the 20th anniversary, Saturday's double-header soccer games and barbeque are among more than 20 scheduled events happening on campus during the University's second annual Homecoming Week, hosted from Oct. 18-23.  Designed to reconnect alumni, enthuse school spirit, and uphold campus tradition, the Homecoming game will kick off at noon with the women's soccer team, who are currently ranked no. 15 in the nation with an impressive 7-1-5 on the season. At 2:30 p.m. the men's team will take the field to defend their record of 7-2-2 on the season.Game day festivities will also include kid-friendly activities, face painting, halftime relay games and entertainment, giveaways, and a catered, tailgate barbeque sponsored by Liberty Mutual. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register for the Liberty Mutual Tailgate Barbeque, which is free for Alumni Association members and students, and $5 per person for all other guests.
