Speaking of Democracy-Checks & Balances on Power, Oct. 31

Speaking of Democracy - Checks & Balances on Power
Tuesday, Oct. 31,
12 to 1 p.m.
USU Ballroom A and B

Must register to attend.  Lunch will be provided.

Be a part of the conversation about the power balance of the three branches of U.S. government and how this system works for us today.

The Speaking in Democracy series is sponsored by the American Democracy Project (ADP) at CSUSM. ADP at CSUSM achieves this goal through programs like the Speaking of Democracy Series, a series of conversations on the health of our U.S. democracy facilitated by faculty. Spring 2017 was the inaugural semester of the Speaking of Democracy Series - it returns this Fall 2017!

This semester, ADP partnered with ASI for National Voter Registration Day on September 26. ADP and ASI partner annually along with the League of Women Voters to register students to vote and encourage voter engagement.

Recently, ADP at CSUSM has also played an integral role in promoting civic engagement on campus by working alongside other CSUSM departments for the annual César Chávez Day of Service and facilitating a campuswide Election Activities Coordinating Committee leading up to the 2016 election.
