Career Fair Achieves Record-Breaking Student Attendance
The Career Center’s fall job and internship fair enjoyed record-breaking attendance last month as more than 500 Cal State San Marcos students engaged with 57 employers on Oct. 17 in the USU Ballroom.
The fair gave students the chance to meet with potential employers and even have professional headshots taken for their LinkedIn profiles. The Career Center also offered several workshops to help students prepare their resumes and practice their networking skills.
Leading up to the fair, students had the opportunity to visit the Cougar Career Closet to grab free professional clothing to make a polished impression in front of employers. Students can sign up for a Cougar Closet appointment on Handshake and visit the Cougar Closet once a semester to receive up to four free clothing items.
