Sexual assualt is never the fault of the victim. While nothing is fail safe, here are some prevention tips everyone should consider.
  • Consent cannot be given if someone is under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, is passed out, unconscious, asleep, or coming in or out of consciousness.
  • If you witness someone trying to lean an intoxicated person into a private room, or if you see someone providing another person with drinks or acting in a sexually aggressive manner, intervene or find help.
  • Alcohol and drugs are often used to create vulnerability to sexual assaults. Studies of sexual assault incidences show a high correlation between sexual assault and drug/alcohol use.
  • If you have been sexually assaulted, please know there are resources available to help you. Please visit www.csusm.edu/title9 for more information.
