LAFS & UPD: The Lowrider Experience, Sep. 23

The CSUSM Latino Association of Faculty & Staff (LAFS) in collaboration with the University Police Department (UPD) will be holding the inaugural Lowrider Experience event on Saturday, Sep. 23  at CSUSM. We will be showcasing lowriders as an art form, screening a feature film, live music and hosting activities for children, all while concurrently celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month at no cost to the public.

The goal of this collaborative event is to establish an annual gathering among the CSUSM community (students, staff and faculty), the University Police Department and our neighboring communities. We hope by bringing our community together with lowriders as the focal point of the event we will establish a relationship with the community and begin to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the general public.

We are inviting valued stakeholders in our community and their families to attend, providing the opportunity to engage and interact with some of CSU San Marcos’ student organizations, staff and faculty, including our CSUSM Police Department.
