DREAMER Resource Office Now Open

It is my pleasure to inform you that in alignment with President Karen Haynes' ongoing support for DREAMERS, the DREAMER Resource Office is now open and located in Craven Hall 4100-J, adjacent to the EOP and TRIO SSS offices.

Rosa Palacios, Personalized Academic Success Services counselor, is serving as the inaugural DREAMER Resource office coordinator. Rosa has a M.Ed. in College Counseling and Student Development and extensive experience in providing holistic personal and academic support services. During her time at CSUSM, she has worked with numerous students to address the various challenges that DREAMER students may face during their college career. As a member of the campus’ Cougar Care Network, Rosa is connected to a strong network of resources available to support our students, both on campus and in the community. She has also taken the lead in the development of an Undocumented Student Support Services training module for faculty and staff that will serve as the cornerstone of our efforts to promote student success for our undocumented students and students from mixed-status families.

With her depth of knowledge and experience in providing personalized support counseling to CSUSM students and a broad understanding of the issues that impact the lives of undocumented students and their families, I have every confidence that under Rosa’s leadership the CSUSM DREAMER Resource Office will be an invaluable asset to our campus and our DREAMERS.
