Call for Volunteers at Super STEM Saturday - March 9

We will be hosting Super STEM Saturday, the closing event of the San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering, on Saturday, March 9. This event, hosted with our community partner, The Classical Academies, will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. across our campus, and we expect attendance to surpass 12,000 this year. Our activities, demonstrations and tours will showcase science, technology, mathematics, arts and engineering for all ages.

Not a STEM major? Never fear! This is an opportunity for you to get involved and earn community service hours.

We love to include the entire campus community and can use help in all areas of the venue, including assisting our vendors with setup, greeting visitors at the welcome booth, providing water and supplies to our vendors, helping track our attendance, and cleaning up at the end of the day. We even provide a Super STEM Saturday T-shirt. We will need people from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. but will offer shifts that work around other weekend obligations.

Interested? Email your contact information as an individual or a group to superstemvolunteers@csusm.edu. If submitting for a student organization, please provide an estimate of how many people you think will be volunteering. One of our volunteer coordinators will be back in touch with shift options and additional information about the day.

Thank you for helping to make this year a fabulous experience for families in our community!

Sincerely,

The Super STEM Planning Committee
