Winter Break Parking Updates

Fall semester is ending soon, and spring semester is right around the corner. Here are some parking updates and reminders for the coming semester.

Parking updates

Fall semester permits will expire on Jan. 8, 2020.

Spring 2020 permits will be available to purchase online starting Jan. 2, 2020.

Parking Structure 1 (PS1) will be undergoing maintenance during the winter break. There will be no overnight parking in PS1 between Dec. 16, 2019 and Jan. 15, 2020. Vehicles remaining in the lot during these dates will be ticketed and/or towed. Overnight parking is available in lots B, C, F, K, N and O.

Parking reminders

Vehicle license plates must be securely fastened and properly mounted per CVC 5201(a). Vehicle license plates must also be clearly visible from the drive aisle. New vehicles: Please enter temporary (paper) license plate information. Update vehicle information once new permanent license plates have arrived and been placed on vehicle. If your vehicle does not have permanent or temporary (paper) license plate, please enter the last four digits of the VIN.

Ensure that the license plate for the vehicle parked in spaces reserved for CSUSM is connected to a permit on your parking account.

Changes made within your parking account will result in an email being sent to your campus email; if you do not receive an email, the changes have not been saved and will need to be resubmitted.

Parking Structure 2 (PS2) – CSUSM permits are valid in maroon and blue spaces on levels 3-6. No parking between 2-5 a.m. in PS2. Faculty/staff permits are valid in faculty/staff and general parking lots and spaces.

General permits are not valid in lots E, H or any faculty/staff space.
