Participate in Kinesiology Study for Free Fitness and Body Fat Testing

Approximately 10% of the U.S. adult population uses antidepressant medication, despite a relatively poor understanding of long-term health effects. Researchers in the Department of Kinesiology are interested in examining if individuals taking antidepressant medications have differences in their levels of fitness, body composition and health compared to individuals who do not use antidepressants.

We are seeking individuals who are healthy and active (greater than 150 minutes of exercise per week) to be part of our study. We are looking for individuals who do not use antidepressant medication as well as those who do take antidepressants. You will complete a one-hour visit to the exercise physiology lab in the Extended Learning Building and will also be asked to wear an activity monitor and record your diet for 3-5 days.

You will receive free information on your fitness, body composition and health, plus free exercise training intensity zones. Please contact the primary investigator, Dr. Matt Schubert, for more information via email at mschubert@csusm.edu or by phone at 760-750-7362.
