17th Annual Because I Care Event Set for Nov. 2

The 17th annual Because I Care Resource Fair is being held on Nov. 2 at the San Marcos Community Center.

The Cal State San Marcos Psychology Department, in partnership with the CSU Shiley Institute for Palliative Care at CSUSM, will host the 17th annual Because I Care Community Resource Fair from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the San Marcos Community Center.

The free event is held annually to raise awareness of and garner support for individuals who provide care to aging family members, family caregivers of younger people who have mental or physical health issues, and to promote healthy living for everyone.

The event is open to the entire family and includes a light breakfast for attendees, short educational workshops, caregiver support and free health screenings.
