Academic Senate Staff Representative Vacancy

There is a vacancy for a staff representative to serve on the Academic Senate for the remainder of this academic year, and to continue through the 2017/2018 academic year. Academic Senate formulates, evaluates and recommends to the provost and president, curriculum, policies and procedures which pertain to the development, maintenance and improvement of the University program in academic matters. The staff representative will be expected to attend monthly senate meetings, voicing any concerns and opinions as appropriate and voting on senate items (policies, resolutions, curricular items, appointments, etc.). This vacancy is to serve the remainder of the recently vacated ‘staff representative seat’, and to continue serving during the 2017/2018 academic year, in this voting position on senate.

The Academic Senate meeting schedule for the remainder of this year is available on the senate’s website: http://www.csusm.edu/senate/. (Remaining meetings - April 5, April 19 and May 3.) Additionally, the expected meeting schedule for the 2017/2018 meetings is found at this link.

If you are interested in serving as the staff representative on the Academic Senate for the remainder of the spring semester, and continuing through the 2017/2018 academic year, please contact Candace Bebee at cbebee@csusm.edu or ext. 4950 for an application. The application deadline is Friday, March 17, 2017.
