Accelerated Courses Offered During Winter Intersession 2023

For individuals who want to accelerate their progress toward a degree, Cal State San Marcos is offering a wide range of courses to the community during Winter Intersession 2023. Featuring compressed timelines, these courses enable individuals to earn as many as four units in just four weeks. The session dates are Dec. 19, 2022, to Jan. 14, 2023.

Course topics feature such disciplines as art, media and design; chemistry; economics; history; literature and writing studies; philosophy; political science; sociology; and more.

During Winter Intersession, students from other universities, qualified high school seniors and community members can register for courses without being formally admitted to the university. Credits from CSUSM courses may be fully transferable to other institutions. In addition, up to 24 undergraduate and nine graduate units taken as a nonmatriculated student may be counted toward a CSUSM degree.

By taking advantage of accelerated courses during Winter Intersession, students can speed time to graduation, lighten the course load required during fall and spring terms, or get a head start on education goals.

Enrollment is open now for CSUSM students and for the public beginning on Oct. 24. For more information on Winter Intersession, including the class schedule, please visit csusm.edu/winter.
