Master of Science in Health Information Management Forum, Nov. 19

Extended Learning will offer a free information forum for the Master of Science in Health Information Management on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the McMahan House.

A continental breakfast will be served, followed by a panel discussion of health information technology and management experts who will discuss the market for graduates of this program, job opportunities in this expanding industry and what is on the horizon for professionals in this field. Faculty and advisory board members will be available to answer questions about the program and an application fee waiver will be provided to those who attend.

The Master of Science in Health Information Management (MS-HIM) is designed to train professionals to improve healthcare outcomes, cost effectiveness and quality of patient care by harnessing the power of information technologies, analytics and connectivity.

The MS-HIM:

  • Is designed for working professionals with classes that meet on Saturdays
  • Employs face-to-face instruction that provides opportunities for professional networking with expert faculty and guest speakers who are established leaders in their field
  • Utilizes a cohort format that helps ensure degree completion in just two years
  • Concludes with a Final Project conducted for a healthcare organization, supervised by a faculty member and organization representative
