Best-Selling Author and Speaker Schedules Free Lecture and Book SigningFormer Fortune 100 executive and now nationally recognized speaker, consultant, and author, Holly G. Green, will be speaking at CSUSM as part of the College of Business Administration's Author Series on Friday, Feb. 27, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. in Markstein Hall, Room 125.Green's recently published book, More Than a Minute, How to be an Effective Leader and Manager in Today's Changing World, provides a refreshing look at the original secrets of effective managers explored in The One Minute Manager, written over 26 years ago. During the lecture, Green will explore the six significant forces impacting leadership and management today; what has withstood the test of time; what continues to evolve; and the critical basics to thrive even in tough times.Green is CEO and managing director of The Human Factor, Inc. in San Diego. She has more than 20 years of executive level and operations experience in Fortune 100, entrepreneurial, and management consulting organizations and previously served as president of The Ken Blanchard Companies, a global consulting and training company, as well as LumMed, a biotech startup.Green has a broad background in strategic planning, organization design and development, process improvement, leadership assessment and development, and the integration and alignment of business strategies. She has successfully designed and built the necessary infrastructure in several organizations, working with The Coca-Cola Company, AT&T, Dell Computer, Bass Hotels & Resorts, Qualcomm, Expedia, Inc., RealNetworks, Inc., Microsoft and Google. Green currently teaches in the executive education program at the University of California San Diego and is a mentor in the Center for Leadership Innovation Mentorship Building (CLIMB) program."In today's tough economic environment, everyone is looking for ways to stay competitive and sharpen their skills," says College of Business Administration Dean Dennis Guseman.
