Change to Office 365 Authentication for CSUSM Faculty, Staff, and Students
Recent changes by Microsoft to support integration with cloud services such as Office 365 and multifactor authentication will require IITS to make a change in how CSUSM users are authenticated for campus services. On April 2 at 9 a.m. a change will be made that will impact the sign-in behavior on some Office clients. This is not expected to impact the look and feel of any Office products. Once the change goes into effect, you may see a prompt sometime after 9 a.m. for you to enter your username/password. In some cases, users may be unable to access mail from their mobile device temporarily.
If you experience any issues, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
*Using a Desktop or Laptop: close all Office applications (Word, Outlook, etc) and restart the computer
*Using a Mobile Device: remove Office 365 username/account on your mobile device and set it up again (using the Exchange configuration option).
