CLIMB Hosts Free Leadership Presentation by UGG Founder Brian Smith, Nov. 5

Media Advisory by Whitney Frasier

On Thursday, Nov. 5, the Center for Leadership Innovation and Mentorship Building (CLIMB) at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) is scheduled to host an entrepreneurial leadership presentation, “Lessons from the Trenches,” by UGG Founder Brian Smith. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

Brian Smith was only 29 when he decided to ditch his accounting career and relocate to California in search of a new business idea. A magazine ad for a popular shoe in Australia and a very small budget of $500 ultimately led him to introduce sheepskin boots to America. Seventeen years later the trendy footwear brought in sales of $15 million.

Now Smith is a dedicated author, a mentor and inspiring guest speaker to business leaders and entrepreneurs. He is committed to teaching his breakthrough business strategies and helping people find their passion through his book, Birth of the Brand.

Join CLIMB at this special presentation to hear Brian’s entrepreneurial leadership lessons. Free registration includes parking and reception.
