CSUSM Hosts "An Evening in Tuscany"

"An Evening in Tuscany" will be the theme of this year's California State University San Marcos gala, scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011, on the University's picturesque campus. Guests will enjoy an enchanting evening under the stars as the University is transformed into an old world Italian village.After a savory gourmet Tuscan-inspired meal, internationally acclaimed music sensation NRG will heat up the dance floor. NRG plays the greatest dance music from the 40s to today's hits, combined with electrifying choreography, fantastic vocals and superb musicianship.CSUSM is also pleased to announce that Channel 8 News Anchor Barbara Lee Edwards will return for the second year in a row to be Mistress of Ceremonies. Edwards is co-anchor for News 8 at 5:00, 6:30, and 11:00 p.m. every weeknight.The annual event is attended by hundreds of University friends and donors, regional business and civic leaders, and alumni, as well as faculty, students, and staff. More than just a night of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner and dancing, proceeds from the gala’s scholarship auction will benefit many deserving CSUSM students in their pursuit of higher education.You won’t want to miss this enchanting evening.  Tickets are $300 per person and sponsorship opportunities are still available.
