CSUSM TRiO Upward Bound Program Currently Recruiting Escondido 9th and 10th Grade Students

Attention all CSUSM Faculty and Staff:

The TRiO Upward Bound Program at California State University of San Marcos is currently recruiting 9th and 10th grade students from Escondido High School and Orange Glen High School to participate and benefit from its free services!

Upward Bound helps high school students prepare for higher education. The program serves 9th through 12th grade students from low-income families and/or first-generation college bound students, who are motivated to graduate high school and continue to pursue their educational goals. Participants receive instruction in literature, composition, mathematics, foreign language or science at CSUSM on Saturdays and during the summer. During the academic year, participants also attend tutoring services twice a week, cultural and/or recreational field trips and college campus visits.

We are asking for your support in reaching families of students whom you feel would be great candidates and benefit from the free services we have to offer them. For more information about our program and a link to the application visit our website, www.csusm.edu/outreach/upwardbound. If you have students who you feel will benefit from this program, please notify us by email or phone. This recruitment period is first-come, first-served.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Maya Kummer at 760-750-6063 or malvarez@csusm.edu . Thank you in advance for your support in assisting students prepare for a higher education.
