Earn up to Four Units in Four Weeks During Winter Intersession

The upcoming Winter Intersession at Cal State San Marcos offers a wide range of online and hybrid courses with a compressed timeline to the community. These courses enable individuals to accelerate their progress toward a degree by earning as many as four units in just four weeks. The session dates are Dec. 20, 2021, to Jan. 15, 2022.

Course topics feature such disciplines as art, media and design; biology; computer science; history; literature and writing studies; philosophy; political science; and sociology.

During Winter Intersession, students from other universities, qualified high school seniors and community members can register for courses without being formally admitted to the university. Credits from CSUSM courses may be fully transferable to other institutions. In addition, up to 24 undergraduate and nine graduate units taken as a nonmatriculated student may be counted toward a CSUSM degree.

By taking advantage of accelerated courses during Winter Intersession, students can speed time to graduation, lighten the course load required during fall and spring terms, or get a head start on education goals.

The class schedule is available beginning Oct. 11. Enrollment for CSUSM students begins on Oct. 18 and for the public on Oct. 25. For more information on Winter Intersession, please visit csusm.edu/winter.
