Learning Early, Adventures in Parenting (LEAP) Workshops

The Gender Equity Center is excited to share the launch of our new partnership with Palomar Health and First 5 San Diego called Learning Early, Adventures in Parenting (LEAP). This county-funded program is open to all parents with children ages 0-5 and consists of three workshops discussing a variety of topics in parent education and development. Participants will receive a gift bundle that includes children’s books, portion plates and other goodies. Parents who attend all three workshops will receive a free annual membership to the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum in Escondido for the whole family.

All of the workshops are from 10 a.m.-noon in the ASI conference room (USU 3700). The dates and topics are:

• Feb. 25 -- Children Love to Learn: Let’s Get Started!
• March 18 -- Strengthening Family Relationships: What You Can Do
• April 15 -- Healthy Living, Active Lifestyles: What You Need To Know and Finding Community Resources: What’s Outside your Door
