New Interim Director Appointed for ACE Scholars Services

The Division of Student Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Betina Scott as the interim director of ACE Scholars Services effective June 15. Dr. Scott serves as a full-time lecturer in the CSUSM Department of Social Work and has over 15 years of experience in the field of social work. Her private practice has focused on family issues such as divorce, separation, infertility, adoption, parenting, foster care and attachment. She also has extensive work experience in program development, administration, grant writing, fundraising and community leadership. Dr. Scott serves on the board of many nonprofit agencies and as the chair of various county social services task groups.

Dr. Scott owns a bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis, a master's from the University of Tennessee and a doctorate from Capella University. All of the degrees are in social work.
