Open Forums for Project Rebound Coordinator Postion
Dear Campus Community,
The Project Rebound Coordinator Director Search Committee has planned two open forums to provide the campus community an opportunity to meet with the finalists for the position. The search committee values your input regarding the candidates' qualifications and ability to initiate a Project Rebound program here at CSUSM. Please make time to attend the open forums and submit the Confidential Candidate Feedback Forms which will be available at each forum.
Ms. Esther Rodriguez
Tuesday, May 7 at 12:00-12:45 in Markstein Hall 105
Ms. Esther Rodriguez is currently an Admissions Counselor at San Diego State University and provides support to the Project Rebound program, including monthly visits to Centinela State Prison to speak with prospective students there. Ms. Rodriguez holds a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling and PPS Credential from University of San Diego, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Sociology from SDSU.
Mr. J. Martin Leyva
Friday, May 10 at 12:00—12:45 in Markstein Hall 101
Mr. J. Martin Leyva is currently a lecturer at both California State University San Marcos and Palomar College. He founded the Santa Barbara City College Transitions Program, which was developed to introduce formerly incarcerated and system impacted individuals to academia. He has also replicated the Transitions Program at Mira Costa and Palomar Colleges, and has served as Chair and Faculty Advisor to the Transitions Collective student organization at CSUSM. Mr. Leyva holds a Master of Arts in Sociological Practice from CSUSM, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts – Psychology emphasis from Antioch University, and a Certification from the California Association of Alcohol & Drug Educators in Alcohol & Drug Counseling.
