Parking Lot Set-Up for Commencement

Set-up for Commencement will occur in Parking lots B, C, X, Y and Z on Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16 in preparation for Commencement ceremonies. While the lots will remain open, some areas may be restricted as the equipment is placed. Please drive through with caution.

These lots will be reserved for Commencement parking on Friday, May 17, Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19. Faculty and Staff wishing to avoid Commencement traffic should enter campus via Campus Way or La Moree and plan to park in Lots E, H, F, or PS1. Craven Rd. will be closed at Campus View Drive/Palm Canyon to through traffic. Faculty/Staff leaving these days will be directed to exit at either Campus Way or La Moree Rd.

Parking and UPD Front Counter Closure

Parking and Commuter Services and the University Police Front Counter will be closed Friday, May 17 for Commencement. Please make arrangements to pick up requested permits before 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.

Expected Commencement Traffic Congestion: May 17-19

Traffic congestion and backups are anticipated Friday, Saturday and Sunday on surrounding campus streets, especially along South Twin Oaks Valley Road, the 78 Freeway, Barham Drive, and Craven Road. Motorists should expect traffic delays; graduates, families, and friends are advised to plan accordingly to arrive on time.

Due to construction, Barham Dr. has lane closures taking place on both East and Westbound lanes.

Graduate and guest parking: Lots C and X,Y, Z are closest to the event venue. All guests that enter campus through Campus View Dr. and Campus way will be directed to park in Lot F.

ADA accessible parking: ADA parking is available for guests with disabled placards and plates in Lot B. Enter Lot C to access Lot B. Please ensure disabled placards are clearly visible. No Shuttle service will be available.

Uber/Lyft: designated drop-off and pick-up location will be at Lot Z ONLY.
