RecycleMania 2010 - Down the Stretch

RecyleMania - Down the StretchCSU San Marcos is seeking a sixth straight RecycleMania title. With nearly 600 colleges and universities participating from across the nation and around the world, RecycleMania 2010 is expected to be the toughest competition yet. This year RecycleMania has gone international with a number of schools from Canada ... and even one from Qatar in the Middle East!It is now week seven of the ten-week contest and the results so far show CSUSM leading with a cumulative recycling rate of 71.12 percent.  Our nearest challengers in the top five are: Stetson University at 63.53 percent, American University at 63.40 percent, New Mexico State University at 62.92 percent, and Rutgers University at 62.40 percent.Let's keep our winning streak alive by recycling here on campus like never before!  Plastic bottles, containers and (clear) cups...aluminum and steel cans...glass bottles and jars...and, especially, mixed paper and cardboard...including newspapers, magazines, brochures, books and paperboard... (Sorry, no paper cups, paper towels, napkins or food wrappings.)If you have boxes of paper materials for shredding, or any other questions, please contact ext. 4600 or 4535.
