Volunteer Speaker Opportunity - "Careers in Spanish-Speaking Fields," Fall 2018

The spring 2018 “Careers in Spanish-Speaking Fields,” a special speaker series relating students' majors to their Spanish skills, had exceptional success......so it will be expanded for fall 2018.

The series needs speakers who use Spanish in ANY field. Careers discussed this spring were: Peace Corps, nursing, palliative care, health literacy, health education, healthcare literacy, bilingual therapy/counseling, legal/business/health translation and genealogy. But we need more majors and careers represented.

If you would like to participate or refer a colleague, the LLC should ideally have all names before summer so they can start to plan. When fall semester begins, the LLC can then easily slot volunteers into their preferred day,
