SWIFT Program Celebrates Milestones

Cal State San Marcos’ Scholars in Wellness and Innovation Fast-Track (SWIFT) program is celebrating several milestones as its second year gets underway. It continues to increase opportunities and promote student success.
SWIFT’s mission is to develop a new generation of mental and behavioral health professionals by offering expedited bachelor's degrees that prioritize dual enrollment, community service and practical experience.
SWIFT’s accomplishments include:
- Successfully completing its first year with an 89% retention rate, with 33 of 37 students continuing in the program.
- The three-year accelerated program received 131 applications, representing a 162% increase from last year.
- This summer, SWIFT successfully hosted the CSUSM REP4 Summit, bringing together SWIFT and CAMP students for an engaging experience focused on connection, learning and community.
