Update to Summer Volunteer Parking Permit Program
With no-cost parking in lots X, Y and Z returning this summer, changes are being made to the volunteer parking permit program taking effect this summer.
- No complimentary volunteer summer parking permits will be issued, as no-cost parking will be available in lots X/Y/Z. No permit will be required when parking in these lots between May 30 and Aug. 22. Lots X/Y/Z remain “no overnight parking” lots; no parking is allowed between midnight and 5 a.m.
- If a volunteer does choose to park in general spaces, the requesting department or the volunteer may purchase a parking permit. Other options include an invited guest permit ($5 per day, department purchase only), monthly permit ($80 per month) or summer semester permit ($180). General funds may not be used to purchase monthly or semester parking permits.
- Volunteers with valid disabled placard/plates issued in their name may request a general parking permit for the length of their summer volunteer assignment. Verification of disabled placard/plates will be required.
