Art, Media and Design Department Hosts Spring Exhibit

The Cal State San Marcos art, media and design department will host a new exhibit, “[DIS]COMFORT,” with an opening reception in the Arts Building lobby from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 7. The exhibition will be available to view through May 16.
“[DIS]COMFORT” is a multidisciplinary exhibition featuring student work that explores the shifting boundaries between comfort and discomfort as they relate to identity, culture and current events. The exhibit celebrates emerging artists as they approach graduation and step into the next phase of their creative careers.
The free exhibition is open to the public and will offer a space for reflection, contemplation and dialogue on the ways we navigate instability, how we comfort ourselves and how discomfort can be a catalyst for growth and transformation.
