By Moyosore Ayo-Ogunyemi
Cal State San Marcos has made U.S. Veterans Magazine’s list of “2026 Top Veteran Schools.”
CSUSM was one of five schools from the California State University system to make the list.
U.S. Veterans Magazine annually recognizes spotlight employers, schools and supplier programs that demonstrate a meaningful commitment to serving the military community.
CSUSM represents the highest per capita concentration of student veterans in the CSU system, housing nearly 500 veterans and serving more than 1,800 military-connected students who make up 11% of the university’s student body.
CSUSM also earned the 2026-2027 Military Friendly School designation, receiving a Gold Award for its work on behalf of military-connected students and their families.
