CSUSM Part of Award-Winning Sustainability Effort
The California State University system received the 2023 AASCU Excellence & Innovation Award for Sustainability and Sustainable Development. The project was a collaborative effort among six CSU campuses, including Cal State San Marcos. The project was led by Chico State.
The Faculty Learning Community in Teaching Climate Change and Resilience initiative that received the award was selected “for its outstanding results and potential to influence and serve as a model for other institutions and systems.”
Award recipients will be recognized during AASCU’s annual conference from Nov. 4-7 in Chicago.
AASCU, which stands for American Association of State Colleges and Universities, shapes public policy and strengthens state college and university leaders as they expand student access and success.
