Nursing Professors Publish Palliative Care Book

Cal State San Marcos professors Kate L. Robinson and Pamela W. Kohlbry wrote and edited the “Manual for Palliative Care: A Step-By-Step Guide for Acute Care Nurses,” along with their co-authors, Carmen Warner-Robbins and Judith A. Depalma.
Robinson is an assistant professor of nursing at CSUSM specializing in hospice and palliative care. She has been a board-certified member since 2011. Her scholarship promotes comprehensive care for critically ill patients and their families.
Kohlbry, a professor emerita, is a former director of university relations and research at the CSU Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care. She also has significant experience in curriculum development and putting palliative care education into practice across academic fields.
