Theater Professor to Hold New Performances

France-Luce Benson, a theater professor at Cal State San Marcos and an award-winning playwright and performer, is holding her solo performance “Worthy” in Los Angeles as part of the 2nd Annual Un-Erasable Solo Festival.
Performances of “Worthy” are on Sept. 12 at 6 p.m., Sept. 19 at 7:20 p.m. and Sept. 25 at 9:40 p.m. at the Will Agee Theatre in Inglewood.
“Worthy” is the final installment of Benson’s Haitian Revolution trilogy. It explores the "double debt" that Haiti was compelled to pay France following its independence and links this history to concepts of trauma, freedom, debt, self-worth and what individuals believe they are entitled to.
