Alumni Association Gifts Free Membership to 2020 Graduates
In recognition of the challenges that graduates overcame this spring in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cal State San Marcos Alumni Association is gifting the entire Class of 2020 a free two-year New Grad Membership.
“It is a priority to CSUSM and the Alumni Association that the Class of 2020 knows they are supported,” said Lori Brockett, associate vice president of Alumni Engagement & University Events and executive director of the Alumni Association. “We felt that this was an appropriate way to show them how proud we are, and a great way to welcome them to the alumni family.”
Graduates can redeem their free two-year membership by filling out a form at this link. For $60, graduates also have the option of purchasing a Class Champion Package, which gives them three additional years of membership and includes a CSUSM alumni T-shirt, key chain, license plate frame, tote bag and an exclusive CSUSM donor cord for commencement (a commencement date for the Class of 2020 will be determined when it is deemed safe to hold the ceremony).
The Alumni Association supports and encourages the advancement of the university while fostering lifelong Cougar pride, loyalty and involvement between alumni, local businesses and the community.
With 2,100 members, the Alumni Association provides ample opportunity for networking and developing new personal and business relationships. Other benefits include:
- 15% off courses offered through CSUSM Extended Learning (some restrictions apply);
- Access to in-person and online career services through CSUSM’s Career Center;
- Library privileges at all CSU campus libraries; and
- Discounted rates for auto, health care, home and renters, and life insurance.
