Caps off to the Class of 2019

By Andrew Reed

No wind, sun or beating rain could stop them. The class of 2019 showed up in large numbers with family, friends and supporters at this year's commencement ceremonies. This year's graduating class is the largest in California State University San Marcos history with nearly 3,800 students joining an alumni community of nearly 49,000.

"We’ve conquered those brick walls of long nights studying for finals. We’ve conquered those brick walls of our Senior Experience projects. We’ve conquered all those brick walls together, and today we have shown how badly we wanted to get here," said Jeff Mata, the student speaker for the College of Business Administration's ceremony on Sunday morning. "We made it, we made it. Tap two of your neighbors and tell them that we made it."
