Pianist to Play Mozart, Beethoven at Art & Lectures Event
The first Arts & Lectures event of the spring semester features pianist Daniel Adam Maltz.
The concert will take place Feb. 6 in Arts 111. The event is free for Cal State San Marcos students, who can reserve tickets online. Faculty, staff, alumni and community members can purchase tickets online via the Arts & Lectures website.
Based out of Vienna, Maltz will perform a rare concert of the piano works of Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn on the piano of their era. Maltz specializes in Viennese fortepianos, combining his deep musicianship with historic techniques to give classical-era music new life. In this special concert, attendees will learn about classical-era keyboard instruments and performance techniques while engaging with the performer in an intimate atmosphere.
CSUSM’s Arts & Lectures series offers a diverse lineup of artistic, cultural and scholarly events every semester based on input and proposals from students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members.
