Update at 6:16 a.m.

Cal State San Marcos is currently impacted by an unplanned power outage due to a blown transformer. CSUSM Temecula is open.

We have heard from SDG&E that this power outage will remain in effect until 6 p.m. Therefore, we are closing the main campus. No offices will be open and all classes have been canceled.

We do have power in a few key areas of campus, such as our Public Safety Building, Center for Children and Families, University Services building, Extended Learning Building, and Housing. However, only essential personnel will be asked to report to campus today. If you are unsure if you are considered essential personnel, please check with your manager.

The Center for Children and Families will be open for business.

Please continue to check your email, CSUSM Twitter and the campus website for more information as updates are available.
